Assistive technologies open up new possibilities for social participation by helping people with disabilities lead more independent and self-determined lives. They also improve healthcare by supporting nurses and caregivers: for example, robots powered by artificial intelligence can take over routine tasks. Key research priorities include: Healthcare provision &#8211; analyzing structures, processes, and outcomes in health systems. Technical and social solutions &#8211; developing innovations that enhance participation opportunities for organizations and vulnerable individuals.
