Salon of Science – Questions for the Future

The Salon of Science is a new event format that gives the people in our city the opportunity to talk to researchers from the Braunschweig region. There will be no lectures; the focus is on interpersonal dialogue.
The Salon of Science will take place for the first time on May 13, 2022, from 6 p.m. in the TRAFO Hub, Sophienstraße 40, Braunschweig. It is jointly organized by the ForschungRegion Braunschweig e.V., in which the research institutions of our region are associated, and the city of Braunschweig.
More than 30 scientists from our research institutions will explain to visitors in individual discussions what they are researching, what they dream of, and what future expectations they have.
3×20: Three Slots, 20 Tables, 20 Minutes
Who speaks with whom will be decided on site from 6:30 p.m. Jeremias Othman, Managing Director of the Haus der Wissenschaft, will explain the rules of the game to the audience. Anyone who does not get a ticket for a 1:1 conversation in a slot can listen to selected table talks via headphones.
During the breaks and after the end of the last round of talks at 9 p.m., the conversations can be continued over food and drinks.
Please Register Early!
Admission to the event is free, but advance registration with Eventbrite is mandatory. Since the TRAFO Hub only offers space for around 200 people, we expect the event to be fully booked quickly. There will be no box office.
Admission is based on the 3G rule (fully vaccinated, recovered, or negatively tested). Please have your proof of vaccination or recovery or a current antigen or PCR test ready at the entrance (this must not be older than 24 or 48 hours).
