The year 2025 begins for ForschungRegion Braunschweig with a new management and a project that brings science directly to the city center.

New Chairwoman of the Board of ForschungRegion Braunschweig
Prof. Dr. Angela Ittel, President of the Technische Universität Braunschweig, will take over as Chairwoman of the ForschungRegion Braunschweig this year. She succeeds Prof. Dr. Folkhard Isermeyer, President of the Thünen Institute, who has shaped the work of our association for many years. Under his leadership, the Salon der Wissenschaft and the Sciecons were established in Braunschweig, among other things. The ForschungRegion would like to express its sincere thanks for his commitment and the numerous impulses.
The Salon der Wissenschaft will continue to be maintained in the future and further developed under the leadership of TU President Angela Ittel.

 

Science Showcase: Science in Everyday Life
A central new project of the ForschungRegion is the Science Showcase. A vacant shop at Waisenhausdamm 8 will be transformed into a place where science is presented in a clear and understandable way. Research institutions from the region will present their topics and findings here in order to make science accessible to the general public.

Outlook for the Year
With these changes, the ForschungRegion looks forward to a diverse year in 2025. Further information on projects and dates will be announced continuously.
