News from the ForschungRegion: On March 4, a new chapter for the exchange between science, art, and society was opened in Braunschweig. The Science Showcase at Waisenhausdamm 8 was inaugurated.
With this initiative, research from the region moves into the focus of public space – low-threshold, accessible, and in the middle of the city. At the same time, a vacant shop is being used effectively and transformed into an inspiring place for dialogue.
At the opening, Lord Mayor Dr. Thorsten Kornblum, Prof. Dr. Angela Ittel, President of the ForschungRegion and the Braunschweig University of Technology, as well as Henrike Wenzel and Jule Hillgaertner, heads of the Science and Art Lab, welcomed the first guests.
The city of Braunschweig is providing the showcase to the ForschungRegion for two years as a presentation space. The Science and Art Lab of the Braunschweig University of Technology is kicking things off, illuminating the interface between science and art with a diverse program.
