Das Helmholtz-Zentrum für Infektionsforschung mit Sitz in Braunschweig, betreibt als Mitglied der Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft Spitzenforschung auf dem Gebiet der Infektionskrankheiten. Unsere Wissenschaftler*innen entwickeln neuartige Methoden und Strategien, um Infektionskrankheiten immer schneller und wirksamer bekämpfen zu können. Unser gemeinsames Ziel sind neuartige Ansätze zu Prävention, Diagnose und Therapie von Infektionskrankheiten. Digital Office (DO) – Rahmen für digitale Transformation
Die digitale Transformation ist sowohl in der Wissenschaft des HZI als auch in der Administration zu einer zentralen Herausforderung geworden. Das Digital Office (DO) stellt hierfür den Rahmen bereit: Wir erarbeiten, implementieren und beraten bei Neuerungen und Prozessen der Digitalisierung – mit dem Ziel, Mitarbeitenden die Chancen digitaler Werkzeuge für bessere Arbeitsergebnisse erlebbar zu machen.
Seit Februar 2025 ist die Bibliothek fester Bestandteil des Digital Office.
Die Bibliothek des HZI versorgt das gesamte Zentrum über alle Standorte hinweg bedarfsgerecht mit Medien und Informationen. Zu den Aufgaben der Bibliothek gehören außerdem die Pflege der institutionellen Publikationsdatenbank, sowie des wissenschaftliche Literaturrepositoriums . Das Monitoring der Open Access Publikationen des Zentrums und die Unterstützung der Wissenschaft im Publikationsprozess sind zentrale Aufgaben der Bibliothek.
Für das Team Bibliothek im Digital Office suchen wir eine studentische Hilfskraft.
Die Stelle verbindet zwei aktuelle Schwerpunkte in der Bibliothek, die organisatorisch im Digital Office verankert ist: Zum einen unterstützen Sie das Team in der laufenden Umbau- und Umzugsphase der Bibliothek, indem Sie Umzugs- und Aussonderungsprozesse organisatorisch begleiten, Arbeitsschritte dokumentieren und bei der Strukturierung von Bestands- und Arbeitslisten mitwirken. Zum anderen arbeiten Sie im Sinne des Digital Office daran mit, KI im Bibliothekskontext zu denken und im Team zu etablieren, indem Sie geeignete Anwendungsfälle identifizieren und deren Einführung in Service, Recherche und Publikationssupport praxisnah begleiten (datenschutzkonform und entlang interner Vorgaben).

- Pflege und Strukturierung von Listen/Arbeitsständen (z. B. Bestands- und Prozessübersichten)
- Zuarbeit im Bibliotheksalltag (z. B. einfache Recherchen, unterstützende Tätigkeiten im Service – je nach Bedarf)
- Mitarbeit an Prozessverbesserungen (z. B. Checklisten, Vorlagen, kurze Prozessbeschreibungen, Standardisierung)
- Mitarbeit an KI-gestützten Workflow-Verbesserungen (z. B. Use Cases sammeln, Tools testen, Ergebnisse dokumentieren – unter Beachtung von Datenschutz und internen Vorgaben)
Ihr Profil:
Wir suchen eine studentische Hilfskraft, die Freude an den beschriebenen Tätigkeiten und an der
Verschmelzung von Bibliothek und Digitalisierung hat. Besonders geeignet sind Sie für die Stelle, wenn Sie sich mit Datenbankstrukturen auskennen und wenn Sie Erfahrungen in dem Bereich der agentenbasierten Prozessoptimierung und -unterstützung haben.
Voraussetzungen:
- Immatrikulierte_r Studierende_r an einer deutschen Universität oder Fachhochschule mit Bezug zu Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaften, Informationsmanagement oder Informatik

An der Herzog August Bibliothek ist zum 01.05.2026 im Rahmen des DFG-Vorhabens
Sidonia Hedwig Zäunemann im literarisch-gelehrten Diskurs der 1730er Jahre
eine Stelle als
wissenschaftliche/-r Mitarbeiter/-in (m/w/d) (Entgeltgruppe E13 TV-L, 65%)
in der Forschungsabteilung zu besetzen. Die Stelle ist zunächst bis zum 30.11.2027 befristet. Eine Verlängerung auf bis zu drei Jahre wird angestrebt, ist jedoch abhängig von der Verfügbarkeit entsprechender Drittmittel vorbehaltlich der finalen Mittelzuweisung. Die Stelle bietet die Möglichkeit zur wissenschaftlichen Weiterqualifikation (Dissertation).
Die Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) in Wolfenbüttel ist eine Forschungsbibliothek mit den Schwerpunkten Mediävistik und europäische Kulturgeschichte der Frühen Neuzeit. Sie besitzt eine bedeutende Handschriftensammlung und umfangreiche Bestände gedruckter Bücher des 15. bis 18. Jahrhunderts sowie mehrere Sondersammlungen. In der Arbeitsgemeinschaft
Sammlung Deutscher Drucke vertritt sie das 17. Jahrhundert. Die Bibliothek ist Handschriftenzentrum und Kompetenzzentrum für alte Drucke. Sie führt Forschungs- und Erschließungsprojekte durch, zu denen als ein Schwerpunkt die Digitalisierung einzelner Bestandsgruppen gehört. Das Alter und die Besonderheit der Materialien stellen besondere Anforderungen dar.
Das DFG-geförderte Vorhaben zielt darauf, Sidonia Hedwig Zäunemann (1711-1740) als Bestandteil des literarisch-gelehrten Diskurses ihrer Zeit, der sogenannten ,Frühaufklärung‘, als Beispiel eigenständiger, genreübergreifender und stilistisch-thematisch vielfältiger Autorschaft zu
behandeln. Insbesondere geht es darum, der Forschung bislang unbekanntes und unerschlossenes Quellenmaterial zu sichten, auszuwerten und in einer Monographie darzustellen.
Ihre Aufgaben:
Mitarbeit im DFG-geförderten Vorhaben Sidonia Hedwig Zäunemann im literarisch-gelehrten Diskurs der 1730er Jahre
– Arbeit an gemeinsamen wissenschaftlichen Publikationen
– Entwicklung eigener Forschungsfragen im Kontext des Projektvorhabens

The Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) in Wolfenbüttel is a research library with a focus on Medieval Studies and European cultural history of the Early Modern period. It holds a significant collection of manuscripts and printed books from the 15th to the 18th century, as well as several special collections. Within the Consortium for the Collection of German Prints, it represents the
17th century. The library is a center for manuscripts and early printed books.
The HAB conducts research and cataloging projects, with one major focus on the digitization of selected holdings. The age and particular nature of the materials place special demands on their handling and scholarly engagement.
Your responsibilities:
Strengthening the Research Department in the implementation of the HAB’s Fellowship Program, its academic events, and support of research projects
Maintaining international relations and strategic partnerships
Acquisition of third-party funding
Independent research in the pre-modern period
Participation in the committees of the HAB
Your qualifications:
A university degree in the humanities or cultural studies (Master’s degree or equivalent) as well as a relevant doctoral degree (at least magna cum laude)

The Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research (HIRI) in Würzburg is a federally
funded research institution whose mission is world-class science at the interface of RNA

role RNA plays in microbes of the microbiome, viruses/phages, bacterial pathogens and

The Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) in Saarbrücken
addresses the global health threat of antimicrobial resistance by discovering and developing
innovative anti-infectives (see https://www.helmholtz-hips.de/en/). Research at HIPS spans
the entire early drug discovery pipeline, from the identification of bioactive natural products and
synthetic compounds to profiling, mode-of-action studies, pharmaceutical optimization, and in
vivo characterization. By integrating chemistry, biology, medicine and computational sciences,
including artificial intelligence-based approaches, HIPS provides a unique and highly
interdisciplinary research environment. The ultimate goal is to translate fundamental
discoveries into innovative therapeutic options that can effectively combat resistant pathogens
and emerging infectious diseases. To this end, researchers at HIPS collaborate closely with
Saarland University and its University Hospital in Homburg, but also partners from the

Junior Research Groups will be funded for a period of 5 years. Funding covers the positions
of the group leader, a postdoctoral scientist, a PhD student, a technician plus consumables
and instrumentation. A junior professorship at Würzburg University or the Saarland University
is envisaged. Based on a positive external review, a permanent position as group leader at the
HZI will be offered to successful junior research group leaders.

As a member of the Helmholtz Association, the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, based in
Braunschweig, conducts top-level research in the field of infectious diseases. Our scientists develop novel methods and strategies to fight infectious diseases faster and more effectively. Our common goal is to develop novel approaches for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Our research focuses on bacterial and viral pathogens, their interaction with the human immune system and new effective substances and vaccines.
Information about the Department/Group/Project
The research group on Biomolecular Condensates in Infection focuses on investigating viral
membraneless compartments (condensates) and their role in viral infections. While fundamental research on viral condensates is central, the primary objective is to identify drug targets and, using high-throughput technologies, to discover promising therapeutic compounds. Research questions are addressed from multiple perspectives—from simplified reconstituted systems and cellular models to organoids. This diversity enables a wide range of tasks within the group, offering ideal conditions for personal and professional development.
Responsibilities:
▪ Lead and manage research projects
▪ Plan, conduct, and evaluate experiments in virology and cell culture (BSL2 and, if desired,
BSL3)
▪ Advanced microscopy techniques
▪ Fundamental molecular biological and biochemical methods (e.g., qPCR, CRISPR/Cas,
protein purification)
▪ Development and application of complex cell models
▪ Use of laboratory automation equipment such as Biomek and Echo
▪ Conduct high-throughput screening and investigate drug mechanisms in drug discovery, in
collaboration with team members
▪ Participation in lab organization/Lab management
▪ Document, analyze, and present experimental results internally

Das Braunschweigische Landesmuseum sucht zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine

um die Sanierung und Wiedereröffnung des Braunschweigischen Landesmuseums

Das Braunschweigische Landesmuseum öffnet Ende 2028 nach einer umfassenden
